ATC 250R : Exhaust Heat Wrap...Good Idea???

i was thinking about wrapin my pipe with something like this http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=TRB-WRAP-CER02-10m . Anybody done this? Is it a good or bad idea? And if i do it how do i keep it from unraveling? The reason im thinking of doing this is because my fatty pipe is all half rusted and looks like ****. thanks guys

The wrap will only make the oxidation worse. Your best bet is to re coat the pipe.

Yea I would just sand the pipe and repaint it. I would bet that even if that wrap would work, it would probably look like crap because it looks like a loose material.

when it gets wet its going to trap the moister against the pipe.
