My tri-z feels like it is skipping a gear when I go to kick it. It kicks fine, but feels like it is not engaging when it should. It goes about 1/4 of the stroke before it engages the kick mechanism. It might be normal, but I am not sure. What would make it not engage right when it should?
Does anyone know how the kick mechanism works? My gears all look good. When I look at the kicker, the big main gear isnt lined up with any other gears, and my idle gear feels like it has some play in it. In and out play. When the kicker is engaged, does it mesh the main kick gear with the idle gear, pretty much pulling the kicker gear in? which in turn spins the clutch basket, turning the main crank gear?
