200x is too tiny to fit anything larger in. if you want a 400ex 200x you need a frame built.

if anything it would fit in the 350x, the motors are very simmilar except for the external oil thang, and few other stuff.

My cousin just put an XR650L engine in a 350X. He turned the 350X frame into the oil tank.
And a 350X engine is nothing like a 400EX, engine they are not similar at all.

please tell me what the point is when the 350X makes the same horsepower, actually might be slightly more.

well i guess a bit newer and parts availability but not worth it if u ask my opinion.

u can bore a 350X and do plenty of mods and u can put e-start on it if u want to.

I'm not sure why the concensous on 3-wheeler sites only is that a 350x makes more power, its absolutely false. A stock 400ex with more weight is quite a bit faster than a 350x. I know according to this site that statement is wrong but its really not. lol. I know we all love to pull for the 3-wheeler, but every 3-wheeler ever made isn't faster than every 4-wheeler ever made. I guess maybe if you dyno them the power could be close but if thats the case I guess the 400 power is more useable or something because they are a lot faster. My stock and worn out 400ex stomps on every 350x I've come across, even when the 350x has a pipe, piston etc. Plus my 400 is even geared higher than stock with bigger tires. Anyone on here remember olschoolin86? He had a 400ex that he bought new with slip on only at trikefest around 03 or 04 and lined up with around 13 350x's. He beat all but one.
I would absolutely love a 350x with 400ex engine. Why? Um a lot faster. A 400ex engine is a lot lighter than a 350x engine. So you would be gaining power and loosing weight. Parts availabilty obviously. And I'm not sure if its just me but 400ex engines seem to be more reliable. Seems I've ran into a lot of 350X engines with crank, oil pump and cam problems. And on the other hand a 400ex engine is probably about the most reliable engine ever made. And my 350X is my favorite bike I own so I'm actually biased towards the 350X.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but it is weird seeing a quad converted to a three wheeler, most people want to do the opposite. My guess is the owner had a 400ex with something wrong with the front end, maybe hit a tree and had a 350x with a bad engine or something. You can make do with with you have with you have fab skills.

I'm not taking offence or anything, but just wondering what your getting at? I'm just stating it is weird to see 4->3 when the general population wants 3->4. My entire family is like that and thinks i'm crazy riding a 3 wheeler over a 4 wheeler except my cuz which has a broken down 250r :(.

The more time you spend here the more 4-3 wheel conversions you'll see. Also a lot of trikes made from bikes, quads, and whatever else mixed in. The stopped production of our favorite ATV platform slowed us a bit, but trikes will never die. Thanks to some otherwise useless quads and bikes we now are able to see, buy, or make modern three wheelers.

MG, a 400EX motor cobbled into a 350X frame that is prone to cracking??

And how the hell is the motor lighter? by how much? FACTS please.........

I can build a 350X motor all day long that BOLTS IN and smokes a 400EX motor. That motor obviously was not a BOLT IN swap. Too much work for me.

Just sharing my thoughts and facts.

i would like to thank the people that turned this thread into a pissing match. i would also like to thank everyone that is kind enough to say "nuh uh you're wrong! you have no proof! im right!" and STILL provides zero data.

this thread is full of fail and miss-information. it should be taken out back and sent the way of ol` yeller.
