Need A Honda History Lesson

Does any one know which liquid cooled CR engines are compatible with the 85' and 86' atc and trx ones. Also are 87' thru 89' trx engines compatible with the liquid atcs? A link to this info and complete parts compatibility would be sweet if it even exists.

All the liquid cooled atc Trx motors are compatable. Except the 87-89 stroke is longer with shorter piston. The cylinder in 85 86 atc has different porting. The clutch pressure plate, rod and end bearing are diffent on the early models. And slight other changes. all liquid motors will fit in any of the frames. The Cr motor is completely different it dosnt have a counter balencer and I think the clutch is larger( I'm not too familure with cr250r). The piston and base gasket might work form some years. Someone currect me if I'm wrong haha
