New Member Old trike , Tiger 250

Hey guys new member here just dropping in to say hey.I'm not trying to spam you guys or anything like that , but i just recently picked up an old tiger 250 three wheeler that i am trying to decide if i want to keep and restore or sell it and buy a rider trike..I am a member over at atv-riders . com for years and my screen name there is tg413 , i started a topic about this trike over there but they suggested i come here with it because you guys will appreciate it more...anyhow last month a buddy of mine was bs'ing and said he had an old tiger 250 trike stored in a shipping container since the 80's and wanted to know if was interested in it...Um of course i was interested in it, even if i didn't keep it i thought i would get it out into the light and into the hands of somebody who would appreciate it..so i am honestly torn at this point and not just trying to shop the thing..Its a complete trike, front fender broke, engine still turns over freely and basically still has mud on it from the 80's.....He also had a tiger 500 motor in there that he was planning on putting into the trike some day but never got around to it.......Ill show you some pics and let me know what you think..Keep in mind the first pics are from in the container and it was dark...The outside pics are from today and the trike has not been touched , cleaned or anything just the way it came out.....Ill post some clean pics tomorrow after i clean it...

You should find lots of Tiger info this site. There are a lot of Tiger enthusiasts and collectors here at 3WW.

Thanks for the replies and interest guys....It's great to see people who actually know what this machine is!On another site i was asked " what are you going to do with that old piece of crap" then the guy just laughed etc...Ignorance is crazy..Then again i did grow up in the 80's where everyone knew what a trike was and the tiger was a dream machine to me.There is alot of younger generation that just didn't get to see all the cool stuff that floated around back then..Again , it was cool to me, and others i grew up / rode with....

Another cool feature is that this particular one came from bellstone cycle which is the place that Loaned Mickey Dunlap the 200cc he raced on in the article on tiger rotax site ,according to Jim of Bellstone , mickey actually rode this one around the parking lot of bellstone's ripping wheelies and general mayhem before they took the 200cc for the race, then it was put up only a year or 2 later..Pretty cool huh?I wish i could prove that but supposedly there is a picture in one of the back rooms of the shop showing Mickey riding it..Bellstone cycle is literally less then 1 mile from my shop and 5 miles from my house ,so this didn't travel to far from home, i think I'll go up there with the old tiger on back and see what they think about it...
Anybody that wants to talk to me about the tiger is welcome to text me after 5pm at 413-242-2964 , i don't mind chatting a little bit with other riders....
