I just picked up an 85 Tecate and plan to restore it this winter. I rode one of these when I was 14 and at 37 I can't wait to ride again. This is a great site with a lot of info.

Welcome to the forum. I would have to agree, this site is GREAT for info. If it wasnt for this site, I probably would still be trying to fix mine(diff. had to be rebuilt).

Alongside being experienced and knowledgable, most everyone here is readily willing to help troubleshoot a problem or point you in a direction that you've overlooked.
