Well, as some of you know, several months ago I bought a 1979/80 Honda xr200 in Carolina in decent running shape which I was going to pirate the engine out of for my Nicholson 185s suspension frame. Well, I've been putting around on the bike every once in a while and it's kind of grown on me. That and The Great Gazoo gave me some crap that it would be a shame to break apart a perfectly good running little dirt bike. So, I've been looking and finally found a worthy specimen on ebay. It's another 70/80 xr200, but it has the lights on it and a locked up engine. I picked it up for less than $200 and it has works shocks on it and alot of the light parts that you just can't get anymore, so I had to get it. I will tear that engine apart for the Nicholson and use what I can to put a headlight and taillight on my running xr200. Also, you know I can't do anything without a couple nos parts, so, I've picked up some nos for the xr200 as well. So here soon, I hope to get the lights on the xr200 and pluck the locked up engine out to get it torn down for the Nick engine build. I have pics of both xr200s, the runner and the pile too. Hope you like them. Also, I'm still looking for better/other bits for the headlight install on the xr200, but will do some straightening out of what I have, but would like to find a correct speedo or what else other members may have to get rid of. Feel free to drop me a pm if you have any nice 79/80 xr200 bits. Here are the pics of the original running xr.158137158138

It's hard to imagine anyone dropping coin on a set of aftermarket shocks to put on a little bike like that. Nice find.

Holy crap! Nice grab, but where are you going to find room for that?

I've already pulled some parts off of it. You know how the truck doubles as a mobile work bench! LOL Why don't you call me moofer??? LOL
