Hello everyone,
Just joined up. Been back and fourth lookin at old topics on this site for a long time and decided to sign up!
Been having a bit of bad luck with sx but nothing to serious. Recently lost both swingarm bearings. In the process of removing the old ones. Going to try and take the swingarm off with out having to remove the rearshaft and diff first. If I have to much trouble i'll take it all apart but I think it shouldn't be a problem. Hoping I can find out the size or part number off the bearing race if it's still intact.
I purchased my first sx a year and a half ago and basically had to rebuild it from scratch. Had it working for about a week and lost the rear diff. Then I had problems with the crank bearing. The housing was cracked allowing the bearing to slide back and fourth which eventually came off and chewed up some of my gears. Since I had so many new parts on the bike (front forks, all wiring, tires, front axle and brake hub carborator) I decided to look around for another one and with some luck I found a great bike in really great shape. Been great until I ran into this swingarm bearing problem. Should be good to go after it's fixed seeing as how the bearing in the rear end shaft have all been replaced a year ago.
