How would my 110 look with white plastics? My rear fender needs work anyway (I have autobody experience and can repair/paint plastic), and I was considering spraying it white, similar to the 86 350x. Sorry, but I'm not experienced w/photoshop.

Idea for a project..

If you are a skill craftman..how about a 110X. Scaled down replica of the 200x...call her the MINI-X.

Rework the tank, fab some air-foils, suspend the front(and rear if you have the skills), rework the plastic in fibreglass to imitate the 87 200x(I love that style)..

Now that would be cool!!

I like white plastics. I put them on my ATC70. Also went with a red seat and white tank. I think they would look
good on your 110.

Definitely can be a mess not always though.. with the proper prep work and proper paint it would turn out good.. The plastic gas tank on my 500 was painted in 2000 and is still going strong.. I think it would look cool with white plastics myself!

This. I have actually sprayed another 110 fender before, and had no issues with adhesion. It is still holding up well.

This one came here with a rip running through the left side gab between the seat and the outer fender. You could not tell there was anything there when I was done. (This is not my final decision, my 110's fender still needs plenty of work)

If you saw those rear fenders before he started you'd about **** yourself. I gave them to him and felt guilty that he had to waste money on shipping. I'd like to see white, give it a shot

Guys post pics of painted plastics on here all the time. However, they like to show the pics of when it was first done. Very rarely does anybody post pics of plastics that have been painted and then used and abused. I say "used and ABUSED" because any ATV has a rough life. Their intended usage is just that, abuse. Sure you can paint your plastics and take a few pics in the driveway or even use the bike for taking laps around the yard. If you actually take that bike out in the woods and ride it like was meant to be ridden, the paint will not look good for long, or at least I highly doubt it.

You are correct that they are not perfect; They were not perfect when shot originally. So, they will not be perfect when done.

The reason that it ripped back out is my fault. I did not use the correct plastic rods for repairing it, which I now have. Also, I have a stainless mesh that I will melt in from the back, for extra strength. In the end, it will create a strong repair that will be much stronger than what I originally did. When first repaired, you could not see the crack, but now it is very much visible. When doing all of the repairs in plastic and avoiding fillers, it will be very strong.
