trx 250 250es exaust systems.... interchangeable or not?

Hi! Does anyone know if the big red and the trx250 of the same era 85...do they interchange? Thanks!

I have both machines, but never compaired side by side. I don't think they are the same, but I could be mistaken! I don't have a 250x together to really check it out currently :(.

I don't mean 250x ...I mean trx 250 ...the quad with the same motor set up as the big red....

Ahh, i figured you just missed the x at the end. Wouldn't that be a trx250es then? Of my understanding of them two, they are extremely similar, I would guess the exhaust would interchange, but again I'm guessing. I do know the 250SX and 250ES are different due to frame differences (the es being wider and longer), but the only difference on the exhaust is the muffler bolt location according to what I have read on here in the past.

If you find out for sure, be sure to update the post, would be good info to add to my site once I get it up to par.

I believe they are the same muffler, but with different mounting points.

the 250 quad has the last bolt on the muffler at a horizontal mount. and the atc 250es bolts threw the side on a verticle mount....
