Got this bike off a farmer who had it sitting. Adjusted the valves and cleaned and started right up. Put on a front tire and it's all ready to go. Found a decent plow, took it to a local shop to fab it up and now it's a full on Yamaplow. Haven't got to test it out yet, but i'm looking forward to it...159222159223159225159227159230159232159234159 235

Doesn't look like it to me. I hope my eyes are wrong.

I like the concept, but I think the frame may fail during the first season. Just looks too weak to me. We have built a couple plow setups for our tractors and you will find the weak spots quick. Hope it works out well!

Looks like plenty of room to me, thats about all my Cycle Country has for clearance as well and i don't have any interference issues.

I drove it around a little and it clears just fine. I will be interested to see how much punishment it can take. The place that made it is a welding/fabrication place that deals mainly with farm items, so we will hope they know what they are doing.

ya, looks good, that square tubing is strong....

Tubing is strong, but i dunno if it would hold up long. Some gussets at the angles on that frame would do wonders.

Personally I don't think the Yammy's have the clutch strength to push a plow like the Honda's do..worry more about you smoking them 1st.

Way too many threads in here about guys changing clutches in their Yamaha's..I've had a couple with slipping problems and unloaded them really quick. Told the buyer of course..

But my Hondas..never had a problem with a single one. But then I don't buy them beaten into the ground either!

I hope we're all wrong and you have a blast!!

I would get rid of the frame right behind the front wheel, make the frame longer with less bends/angles. Moving the push point and pivot farther back under or a little behind the foot pegs. I have made 2 plows for my SX and sold one. Just finished the other one I did.

Of the new plow? Not yet.

I have it off the SX right now as I have the front wheel and hub off figuring out a brake problem and doing wheel bearings. I'll post as soon as it is back together.
