I got this bike from my grandparents who purchased it new in 87. Has very low hours and runs like a top. Just need to repaint the wheels, not sure what to use yet, everything else is really clean.

That is a 1986 Gas Tank - the 1987 was different. Are you sure it is a 1987 and not a 1986?

Well Now you have me second guessing, I'll have to look and see now, I was just going on what year my grandmother said it was. I haven't even looked. I remember them buying it new sometime in the 80's

Oh c'mon...what's with the mint inheritences lately. This is the second one in the past week! How do you guys just get these things handed down to you. She looks like a beauty. Don't know much about the 125M. What are it's features?
BTW - what's that metal rod thing going up the side of the engine from in from of the gear shifter?

Yes it is a 86, thanks for pointing that out ATCTIM, My grandparents bought it new to use around there farm but it set in the tractor shed almost all it's life, they did use it deer hunting once a year. The "rod" is actually a small rope tied to the shifter and hangs off the hanle bar, my grandmother installed that to help change gears, It was a lot easier for her to grab the rope and pull up on it instead of using her toe to lift the shifter. I was always going to make a hand shifter just never got a round to it and the rope really works good. I plan on cleaning it up a bit and using it around the dragstrip as a pit vehicle. As for features, low first gear, reverse, chain drive, electric start, not much other than that that I know of. It does have the original tool kit, looks to have never been out, and the owners manual too. I even have the spare key that still has the plastic over it.

The 125m's are chain drive with reverse? Hmmm, that's interesting. I never knew Honda made such an ATC. I always thought they had to have shaft drive to have reverse. Sounds like it'd be a fun trike to rip around on!
