Anyone built one of these lately? I got a pretty good 82xr500r im going to build one out of, I've seen everyones builds are different, I've really been looking for a 350x with a bad motor but they are few and far between, and I got this bike, also got whatever tools needed to do the job, I'm a mechanic so the experience is here, but lacking details and photos, not one I can look at anywhere close, not sure what everyone wishes they would have done differently on their builds, I looked at my 81 250r frame and didnt look like to much from it would work, might be able to use the rear subframe, the swingarm doesnt look like a good candidate, Would like to see some photos of whats been used and what i should get collected up, thank yall!

The older version of the xr is different then the '83 and up xr500 and xr600, not sure what would work. I believe that members have modified the 350x frame for the '82 and older xr500. When I built mine ('83 xr500), I had a lot of trial and error, but thats what makes it interesting.
Good luck on your build, they are a lot of fun to ride!
