Awesome. I have a set of tire chains for my mower that makes a huge difference. How much difference does it make in the steering department?
Id like to see some more pics of that front rack. I have a Big wheel that I have a feeling I am going to have to build a rear rack for. I plan on making it my commuter to and from work which is conveniently located 3 miles from my house. Is that wire on the bottom, or a net like material?

Handles ok in snow if you throw it around ,won't do much on ice I don't think. I threw the rack together playing out in the garage one day out of odds and ends. The bottom is steel cage. All my buddies had to sit on it when ever they first seen it so its been load tested.160587

It definitely looks over engineered. I just need one to hold a lunch box for the ride to work. Also will need to haul my spring jack pot of morel mushrooms and the same cooler with a 6er of beer in it.

I would rather know I can put weight on it now ,than wish I could later.
That front rack looks nice! 1 more loop over the light and you got a nice guard too..

The chains help big time, i have a set on my 200ES for plowing and winter use, with the chains on mine is pretty well unstoppable in snow or on ice or hard packed snow.
TSC, Runnings, Farm & Fleet, all of those farm supply stores have them. I spent $30 on mine they are the carbide V-bar style and my tires are bigger so i suspect they cost a bit more than yours, maybe not.

If you get a set get the 2 link spaced v-bars IMO..............big difference than a standard chain..........

I got the four link version they work great, but i know what your saying, i have two link chains on my lawn tractor for snowblowing, it can make a difference. I think on the trike though it would be overkill and a lot more added weight but if you can find them it wouldn't hurt. Seems like all the ATV chains i see are four link versions.
They aren't really needed for light to moderate snow but when that snow gets packed down or ice forms on top then they are worth having!

I picked them up at Canadian tire for $35. They stopped selling them so I got them on clearence. The guy actually said they were illegal ,and that's why they stopped selling them. Royal distributing has them for $65. They do work great

Illegal??? I guess maybe in some areas they are on county highways and paved roads they could hate you for using them on the pavement, i know they get testy over chain use on a concrete parking lots around here.
