You can register trikes as three wheeled motorcycles. that is probably the laws for it. also they made a street legal fourwheeler not that long ago.

Insurance on a off road vehicle? that's horseshit. So do they require a proof of insurance during registration of the machine, and do they require insurance on watercraft and snowmobiles as well?

I agree TriZ_Jim, except I haven't broken the drinking/drugs one and I did stop for the cop  (that cost me a 100 bucks  ).

Hemi you have to have sleds registered and insured in NY. They have state troopers and DEC on sleds checking for them quite often.

What a pile of horse-trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro! Some of those are fair, but most of them are stupid. Having regestration on your own land. What a pain in my ass!

Nevada is undoubtedly the best. I can ride anywhere almost. No insurance, no registration. As long as you stay off the road and don't cause a lot of dust the cops won't even enforce the 20 feet off-the-road law. Hee hee

acording to state law ANY AND EVERY motor vechile in NY, MUST be registered...it only has to be insured if you operate it off your own property.

sleds have places to run everywhere but not atv's most places you can run a dirt bike without any trouble but no atv's/atc's
