Was on holidays last summer, and took the kids to Galaxyland at West Edmonton Mall. While I was strolling around with them I came across the coolest ride ever!! I couldn't believe my eyes! On a mary-go-round type ride were a wack of ATC 70's (along with a bunch of Honda 50R minibikes). "Yeah, sure" you say, "I bet they were just replicas". Well here's the thing...they weren't! They were actual original HONDA ATC 70's with vin tags and 'Model Year 1985' stamped on them...AND, the trikes were complete! They were also in almost pristine condition from being out of the elements inside a climate controlled environment for the past 30 years. It's as though they bought them from the factory and plunked them on the ride when the amusement park part of the mall was built in the mid '80's. Engine, carb, fenders, metal tanks, tires...everything - ALL ORIGINAL! I should have taken a picture, but if anyone else reads this that lives in Edmonton could you stop by the mall sometime and take a picture of these things or at least vouch for me by confirming my story! You just don't see this anymore. Nowadays they would paint a fiberglass mould of a quad and call it done. It would be a collectors dream to get their hands on one of these if ever they dismantle or redo the ride. Just think...an all original 1985 Honda ATC 70 with zero miles on it!
