Great places to go ride in the dunes?

Well me and my friend want to go to the dunes but Glamis is a 30 hour road trip lol so i'm going to have to pass on that one. Does anyone know of any closer to Minnesota? I know there all going to be far away but there should be some closer than 30 hours.

- what all do you need to go there? like say tickets or something like that to get in. I don't mean the obvious.. like helmets etc lol. How much gas do people normally bring? I'd just be running my auto x (200M motor)

really you can take a ferry over? How much time does that cut off? like drive time because I live in Minnesota and its 11 hours to get there. So i'd have to go all around the lake to get there. Where is the ferry located? what city??

Ok i just looked it up. it's 6 hours to Milwaukee. Cuts off 5 hours. Tickets are 135 per person maybe more with a vehicle not sure. It goes to muskegon or whatever it is lol. Not sure if that's worth it. The crossing is 68.5 miles and takes roughly 2.5 hours. Now its time for me to put the pros and cons together and see if it's worth it. 300+ dollars to cut off 2.5 hours of a drive.

your next best choice would be Little Sahara, OK. A longer drive but that is where the Midwest Trike Rampage is held also. That would be a good first time to go...

Thats only a 2 hour extra drive. I'd be up for that's for sure but where going to silver lake this time. I already got everything planned out haha.. I'm excited. Just gotta buy a few things first.

For sure! I'll def. let you know. I think we'll be going around June.. I'll see about April. I'm gonna save up 2 grand and try to find a 250r or Tri Z around that area lol..
