honda part # 16210-KT0-000. Intake. Are you using the xr200 carb?

I believe you need to stay with the 200X manifold to retain the proper angle.

I put an XR200 (84) carb on my 84 200S and needed to use the 200S manifold to keep the angle. I did match up the inside of the manifold to the head and carb with a dremel tho, using the dremel on the intake manifold.

^^^^ this guy is right, you need to keep the stock 200x manifold so you can hook your carb to air box boot back up.

or just go with a siphon mount set up like i did. Pictures on post number 42 at the link below.

My issue is the stock boot is offset and the carbwont seal right thr xr carb the holes are in the center 200x carb the holes in the ears are up a tad if a 200x mani would work ide run it but I had avac leak and.i.dont want to.smoke this built motor theres a xr boot thats bigger and same angle

The stock 200x intake is offset where the stock x carb bolts to
The xr intake is larger and the studs are centered and line.up with the larger carb

If u use a xr carb on a 200x intake there will be a slight gap on the top part of the flange of the intake due to the offset studs on the stock 200x intake

then you have something wrong. i have done this exact mod using a stock xr carb and the 200x intake . maybe it has something to do with the chinese carb? offset studs on the x intake? got any pics of that?

Im at work in wv I bought a 83xr intake last night on ebay lucked out and snagged one.
From what I near on 3wo 81 84 is what I need to clear the bolt

I will take picts of what im talking about sunday when I get home

The 29mm xr carb is chinese but its a mukuni replica works great I just need the proper intake.so it can seal correctly.thats.all
