250sx axle with 200x swingarm

Hi, I am building a 200x from the frame up now and im wondering if a 250sx axle would work with a 85 200x swingarm and if everything i.e. sprocket, brakes, would line up. The only reason im asking is because i found a 250sx axle near me on craigslist for cheap, year of axle is unknown.

Not even close. Find a 200X axle.

the 250sx is shaft drive and 200x is chain... only an 83-85 200x axle works properly

If you can find one a 82 250r axle will also work well .You will need the rear sprocket from the 82 250r aswell.

84-86 200 x

Ya disregard trike Satan up there. The 86-87 200X axle will not work for you. I'm fairly certain an 82 250R axle will work, not 100% positive about the 83-84 250R axle though.

yep I read the old R ones will work with sprocket hub in the 83-85 200x and the 83-84R axle fits newer 200x's...good to know because im building an X and don't have an axle yet lol
