My ATC 110 has 22 x 11 x 8 balloon tires with a standard knobby block pattern. The recommended pressure is only 2.2 psi and I'm unsure whether these balloon tires are different than a 4-wheeler's tires.

I'd like to replace one of the rear tires. My understanding is there's a big O-ring sandwiched between the split rims. The procedure for tire replacement is to remove the four rim bolts and pull the rim halves apart; separating the rims from the tire beads. Presumably the O-ring is re-useable but is there any sealant recommended?

Can I expect the tire beads to readily separate from the rims or will I have to use some kind of bead breaker tool for this?

Are the 3-wheeler balloon tires different from 4-wheeler tires?

Is there a recommended source for buying OEM-type knobby tires in the aforementioned size?

the beads need to be broken first before any unbolting of rim halves. take it to a walmart tire center or local shop and tell them you just need the beads broken. i usually get charged like $2 where normal complete dismount on car tire is $5-7 then you can remove axle hub and the carrige bolts that hold it together. the two halves come out and the o ring ill be there somewhere. i hate the o rings and always use tubes with threaded valve stems. but if you want to be tube less put one rim half in your new tire and lay it down on rim (so your looking into open side of tire and back side of rim is flat) coat the oring area with rtv or some kind of silicone sealant (be generous) and place your o ring on there. coat the other rim half with sealant as well, line up the bolt holes of both rims and install the other half. you will have to push down on the rim to keep them together and be careful of sideways movement because it can mess up where the o ring is (why i delete o ring and use tubes). install your carrige bolts and tighten them down. next just air it up and make sure you have no leaks. (moost tires say 20 psi max to seat beads)
the three wheeler tires are the same as atv tires. any atv tire for an 8" rim will fit those wheels but i never go bigger than 22x12x8. 2.2 psi seems low but but thats fine for any atv tire, most these days say operating pressure of 5-7 psi
