Picked up a 250sx last weekend, great bike, a lot of fun to drive and can go pretty quick. It came without brakes and they are not necessary right now but there are not many parts around where i live for the 250sx but a lot of big red 200 and 250 parts, just wondering if a front brake assembly would be able to come right off a big red and go onto the sx? and if so how much work would it be to put on. Thanks.

I'm not sure if the brake assemblys can swap, I know the whole front end can be swapped though with the 250es. The 200e/es is a completely different beast, most parts won't interchange. The 250es and sx are nearly the same thing with small differences here and there.

For brake shoes, I would suggest EBC shoes from ebay. They run around $20-25 for a set. I have one on the rear of my sx, they squeek a little, but stopping power is good, and havn't worn them out yet. The last ebay brakes I bought was the $10 crap ones for my 200es big red, worn out in a month....
