DUDES! I wanna know, what can i do toMah 200X suspension to make it better for motocross type riding, can i get more clearance and stiffness out of the stock forks? If not, then would 250R forks fit? And if i wanna put a 350X shock on the back for more clearance, can i use the 350 linkage or do i have to cut and weld the 200 linkage? Or could i even use the 350X swingarm? Or could i use a shock off of a 250R? Pwease help i?

For the front end you have a few choices. Back in the day most racers ran the forks from an 83-84 250R. You have to bore your triple clamps from 33 to 35mm to run them but that was the hot setup at the time. What I have is a Terry Kit in my stock forks. The terry kit is a new set of damping rods that increase the travel as well as improve the damping via different diameter oil holes in the damping rods.

For the rear most guys ran extended swingarms and aftermarket shocks. The longer swingarm will normally lift the rear end up with a stock length shock.

That Terry kit sounds quite nice, thanks allot.
I dont know allot about aftermarket swingarms, i really dont know much about anything.
Can you tell me a decent swingarm to look for on Ebay or are there any i can get brand new that arent very expensive, and can i put a 350X shock on it? I really want allot of travel, like 9-11 inches if possible, does anyone think or know about how this will hurt the handling? can i overcome it by just hanging over the other side a lil more?

And another thing, i havent changed the oil in awhile, anyone know what kind of oil and and how much to put into a 200X, i dont have the manual anymore.

Thanks.

my book says .95 liters, so about a qt. I would spend the little extra and get the Honda oil from the dealer. It's about $4 with tx at my dealer.

Yeah, never get wallyworld oil, (Wal-mart special/cheap oil), you would be better off in the long run buying premium type oils. Whatever oil you buy though, make sure that it does not contain anti-friction inhibitors (I think that is what it is called), these will make your clutch slip bad!!! They are in many engine oils these days, so make sure you read the label if you choose to use a car oil.
