Would like to swap my front hub so that I could run a rim that would offer a better tire selection and hopefully help it change direction. Stock w/ 25x12-9 carlilse turf buster just pushes now that the rear has more bite (widened to 52.5" and running bearclaws) soon it will have even more grip going to maxxis rubicon c983 25x13.5's

Any help would be appreciated, would like to do a fork swap if thats possible and run something more agressive bite wise so it would turn lol.

Tri-moto splines are same as 200e spline iirc, toss some 4/110 hubs on it!

Ive decided to try an adapter from adapter kings and a different offset rim... :(

Someone give me some tire recommendations that may help the front bite instead of slide. I have a 10,11,and 12" rim coming that should fit after the custom adapter gets here, I dont want to lower it any, but looking for something that bites as well as the front max I put on my 350x, pondering the carlisle at 489 in 25x10-12, but not really wanting a V pattern and in turns the front tire never makes it on to edge of the tire, I've looked through every tire I can think of, from gbc, cst, maxxis/cheng shin, carlilse, itp, moto efx, Interco, super grip, kenda, Sti, sedona, etc, but not having much experience with what tires work well on a trike front, I feel like im wasting my time. A simple knobbie wont do, been pondering the kenda viper, it would have to work better than the turf buster thats on it now... someone shoot me some pointers!

I've read that they are prone to skipping. I thought about those, they look like they would bite well, but I guess the lugs are tall and narrow enough to let them lean and lose grip then re-bite, which might cause some bad things, but being the e is a slow creature I'm not sure that would happen. The profile worries me a little being so flat. Would love to talk to someone who has tried one on a trike before I pull that trigger, but may try one anyway since they are one of the cheaper tires in the size range.

The turf buster worked well till I widened it, just the change in its width from the wider rims was enough to start it pushing the front, but I am pleased to say that I took it out with the swampers, and it is pushing alot less and you can feel the increase in power from them being lighter way more than I figured. Even pulling my lawn cart with 15 gallons of water it moved around better than with the claws on it and nothing trailing!!! pondering a 25x9.5-12 on the front to match the rears if I can find a good deal on them.

so anything on that list, should fit any other thing on that list? all those bikes should be able to swap hubs?

Pretty much any 24 spline hub is good to go, just pick width and bolt pattern you want to run. Have 400ex on my 200e, 300ex on my 350x. I really like these tusk hubs, even putting a set on my tri-z (banshee 4/115 hub). Part number for the ones on big red are 1341190001. According to the chart, they should fit your ytm too.

Yamaha splines are shaped differently, more shallow and wider and the axle seems a few 1000ths larger in diameter. My honda splines line up but wont slide on but apparently you can beat them on if you want to do your axle that way lol.

Stock on my 200e was 9x9 4.5+4.5 (split) current is 10x8 3+5 but last were 9x9 3+6, Fusions are 9x8 2+6, doesnt really matter but industry standard seems to be 3+5 these days. I have a set 6061 1" 4/110 spacers if you wanna add some width $35 shipped if you want them. I mounted them on my 350x but they made it too wide (54") lol.

on a side note audio phil if you want to completely change the front forks out and run 200x or 250r suspension on front there is an adapter that will easily allow you to do that, here is a link for them as I'm not sure if you have full permissions on here yet. http://www.3wheeler.org/vb/showthread.php?49376-Stem-Adapter-Pin

I found some tapered washers that fit the holes in the adapter that adapter kings made for me, Now my front can hold any 4/110 rim with an offset two numbers apart (2+4, 3+5, 4+6) so until I can get the front conversion thing going I have a make shift solution. This could also be used to just drop the weight by running al or alloy rims. They can make the adapters in different thicknesses to make other offsets work ok too. I think a 12" DWT red label on front would look nice with the 10" versions I'm running on the rear. Would love to find a 12x6 4+2 4/110 version but they are few and far between. Not alot of 12" tires that have enough width tofit an 8" rim, but opens the doors to a few new choices, 10" seems the most practical size for tires that are readily available. casrlilse at489 looks promising.
