I'm new to the site, and I am curious if there are front forks with suspension to fit on the 82 185s without having to be too technically savy? Also what is a decent price range? I'm hoping to make the ride a little smoother. thanks

Sorry but by too technically savy means completely redoing the front end ie cutting and torching.

the later years 200s spring front ends. pic would help but to my understanding that year shares the same front end as the 110. 110 is the same as the 125m (84-85) and i put 200s (spring) front ends on both my 125's. it transfers right over.
when you take apart tour front end there are ball bearings (not held together by cage, individual balls) between forks and frame on top and bottom. most of the time if you are not careful they will go everywhere. when taking it apart, do so on asphalt or concrete drive or put down large cardboard. when you remove top nut have weight on front end so lower bearings dont fall out. remove nut and race beneath it. use a magnet to remove balls and put in ziplock bags. for lower set hold a large rag or towel and underneath rear of tripple trees around where front fender mounts. lift up on the frame and you will see lower race. some bearings will stick to tripple trees and some to frame race, some will drop (if not careful).
when reassembling coat races with grease, thick grease on lower race. it will help the bearings stick to race. keep it straight up and down when transporting. lift frame and drop it down onto trees carefully. the top side is easy just place bearings on frame race and reassemble
good luck

A 185s has a tiny bit of suspension from the factory, but nothing to brag about. I had an 82 185 when I was a kid and my dad and I put an 81 250r front end on it. It was quite the endeavor though. It can be done, but A person would need to be mechanically and fab savy...

Do this ^^
Just take the bottom triple clamp from both bikes (185 and 250r) to the machine shop if you're not mechanically enclined. Have them swap the stem from the 185 to the 250 triples and re-assemble.
