There is no absoulte top speed for any machine due to climate, elevation, jetting, etc....

But it should be around 68-70 mph. stock.

108 KPH is only 55-60. The YFZ450 should do 120-125KPH I'd think.

The new 450's are slightly slower on top than a raptor (like 3 or 4 mph), if you have ever ridden a raptor, you would know that that is pretty fast.

Once me and uncle arlis took our YFZ450 up to 93 miles per hour. then we drove it off a cliff and the thing still ran. then we ran each other over with it. man was that thing fun.

Everyone seems to be sensitive to these types of post...Myself included...I responded out of genuine curiosity though for this particular bike.

It would be nice to have an unbiased cut from every thing out there....I guess it takes the mystery away if those type things are published? Cars don't have a problem keeping track and publishing HP & Torque ratings.

Look at the Mustang / Vett line up...Past years the Stang and the Vette have kind of taken two different paths, but for years it was Ford VS Chevy or the Firebird / Camero VS Mustangs. You don't see anyone trying to put a cap on HP rating for vehicles. Hell you get cars off the showroom that approaching 400hp+. OOOOOOOooo that's too much HP...lets get a bunch of lame dicks to sign this petition and well make Dodge quick making the V-10...Ahhhhhh what gives?

Anyway I’m back now…I trust a calibrated radar gun….anybody got one?

Theyre built for MX. Ive raced a few in MX races, and they are extremely impressive, from the time the gate drops on. On the holeshot the guy who runs a Predator ran side by side with those two leaving everyone behind. They handle great, jump super, and are tough to beat with similar riders.

Ive only raced one in a harescramble, and in cross country woods type racing they are okay but arent anything special. I ended up beating the guy on my 250r dinsaur, but I was riding a little better.

I think they are a great buy for MX, and stock will perform as well or better than the older models after theyve spend thousands of dollars in modfications on them, thus they are less expensive. For cross country, trail, and woods riding, I wouldnt waste the money.

Top speed - dont know, dont care, cause you aint gonna reach it in either one.

Id expect them to do fairly well in the sand, but havent yet seen it.

I totally agree....but I want to know about big nut factor!

Not really a top speed, but I like something, that when I first got on it I can’t ride the bike full throttle or full brake. because I'm not used to it.

{Example} My first time on a 250r, even straight line hole shot were not the easiest thing...and some other strong bikes...anything other than a straight line was difficult …until I had some saddle time on the bike and got used to the bike and finding it's (and mine) limits.

To me that’s what makes a bike, quad, trike, car, …. What ever has an engine and goes fast is what I'm into!….
I just like the GO FAST! factor and in order to make it go faster than somebody else on the same equipment requires skill and experience.

Well said man. I always need time to get used to a new ride too. You know what the funniest feeling in the world is though? When you have 3 running bikes/trikes(like I did at one time, hahaha) and just keep jumping between all three in like an hour. It feels really strange jumping from one to the next, almost like some kind of a weird rush. Sorry I'm weird.

I like switching between bikes every now and then like. Like when I used to go riding with all my friends, my one buddy would want to ride my blaster, and I would ride his tri-z (which I now own) just for something different.

isn't speed one of those things that has to be experienced to be known? when you're doing 80 and someone passes you, you're going slow? the 750x is really fast when you're riding with 200's, not as fast when it's another 750?

top end of the raptor was relly fast when i first got it but after i had it opened up and got used to it, 4th gear around the lake on a sand road is nothing. it gets relly confusing when you got a raptor (manual, standerd trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro pattern), 200s (semi-manual, REVERSE shift parter), 250es (semi-manual, standerd shift patern), and my dads kodiak (full auto). you get on the 250es and everything is good, then you get on the raptor and forget to grab the clutch all the time, then the 200s is bad, downshif when i mean to up shift, grab the break all time when i go to shift, then you get on the kodiak and you wonder when that damn ctv auto trani is gonna shift.
