So i decided to start working on my 110 for my wife to use to learn on and when i got the head off i discovered that the the bore was at 54.91mm just shy of 55mm. I need to find ring for this bike but now im confused what to get for it. do i get the 110 rings oversized or just go get 125 rings? The guy at the bike shop is being a confusing d-bag about the topic saying the 125 rings wont work and no one makes a 55mm ring for a 110. I always though as long as the ringwas the right size and shape it would work. can some one point in the direction i need so i can get some rings? everything else has checked out ok so I am just waiting for rings.

You have an aftermarket big bore kit in that 110 and finding rings for that piston that hasnt been made for 25+ years is the problem LOL . I have used 86/87 atc125m rings and cut them to fit but had a set on hand and got lucky the thickness was correct . Your best bet is to buy a good used cylinder and bore it to a new piston . Or I have 56mm big bore kits in stock that will work but your cylinder will need bored and it only leaves 1mm on the cylinder wall .

You could just buy a whole new piston and ring kit for the next size up and have it bored out. I believe 110's and 125's can go up to 56mm.

Edit: shortline beat me to it.

the 110 heads are marked 105cm3 correct? that is how my head is marked. I remeasured it today with a telescope gauge and it is right on for being a 125 and not a 110.

@ 55mm your motor is 123cc a 56mm piston would bring it up to 125cc .

Honda CB200 twin rings are 55.5mm and fit the aftermarket pistons. You can dress the ring gap to suit.

so i just need 125 rings then correct? according to clymer the 125 has a bore of 55mm which is exactly what i have. I am actually within a thousandth of an inch of the exact same measurements as the 125 atc.

Ring thickness is the problem, most OEM Honda rings are thinner than aftermarket rings.
