I'm about to fit a tube to my front tyre and am wondering if the rim is a 2 piece rim or do I have to break the bead and insert/wrestle the tube in like we do on a bycyle?
I tryed to search this but have given up,
sorry in advance as I'm just a wee bit special and the interweby-thingy is not my strong point.
I'd really apreciate some help ...
I had a sled ski on the front for winter but winter is all but over here and I'm getting ready for summer already.
thankz peolpe ...

as far as i know most of the bigger bikes like that are one piece rims. the way to tell is by looking where the hub mounts to the rim. if there are only holes for the hub it is a one piece. if there are holes for hub and there are some carrige bolts there holding rim together it is a 2 piece. either way you will have to break the bead and depending on how long the tire and rim have been married this is easiest done by a tire shop. any walmart or auto place with a tire machine can do it. usually i just get the bead broke and dissassemble the tire myself they usually charge me less then what they charge for full tire r&r. so if its $5 for r&r they usually charge me $2

I tried to post picture from my 200S service manual, but it did not go through. Manual shows 1 piece.

It's a 1 piece...and the tire is a PITA to seperate from the rim, so make sure you check the inside of you tire for anything that might pop the tube before you put it all back together....

the way to tell if its a 2-piece versus a normal rim, is count the bolts. theres 4 that bolt rim together on a 2 piece rim. a normal rim just has the holes for the hub. Best part about having split rims is they're super easy to put a tube in.

its a 4 bolt patern and I looked at the manual link and it sugests 1 piece. but when the hub assembly came out there was a plate on the other side which side and made me think it was 2 piece so I tryed to separate it with out joy. but 28 years of abuse and out side life, I'm not surprised if it dosen't want to separate. but being tube less it should be 1 peice. the bead really doesn't want to release either.
thankz again ...
