I am considering a good blast and powdercoat paint job for my Big Red..

Are there any pitfalls to powercoating a tank?

I tried to search a couple threads but didn't find much on the subject.

That tank turned out really well, but I never heard back on how it held up. I guess no news is good news???

Wow, just found a local shop..I'll name them when they are done if I am impressed.

Anyway to get the entire tank media blasted and powdercoated for $60.00..damn I'm excited. Didn't imagine it would be that cheap.

60 bucks for that is a good deal. I powder coated the tank on my USMC trike (250SX). Its OD green and thus far has held up very well.
