trx200sx question

ok here it goes. 1st, 2nd, and 4th gears work good but 3rd and 5th both just make a real loud grinding noise. what could be causing this and is it a hard fix. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks paul

Sounds like you need to tear the motor apart and then you can tell us what the problem is ..... sounds like something major to me and were not just talking a bent fork ot two.

no i have an almost another parts 200sx with a good bottom end i was just hoping this would be easier to fix than pulling the motor and switching top ends.
