This guy was very easy to work with. Tried to buy his two Z frames off ebay. I just needed the upper part to send to for a banshee conversion. Offered him 40 each for them off ebay to save him some fee's Wouldnt take it. Fair enough He worked with me to sell them for 50 each. Told him to get me a shipping quote. TOLD ME 50 EACH FOR SHIPPING! I mean come on I had one shipped last week and it cost less then 20 bucks

This is what it should look like and no way in hell it should cost 50 to ship that!!!! I just hope he has to sit on them for 100 years.

Ive delt with A@@holecycle before. Not very happy with the deal. Bought what was supposed to be OE 350X rear plastic in excellent condition. It was OE but some how forgot to mention the screw mounts for the flap were either cracked, broke, or missing. In my dictonary after A@@holecycle comes FU. Will never deal with this seller again no matter how good the deal is. And for that matter most of his stuff is pretty ratty shirt he sells.

I know how you feel, I hate when you buy something and they charge twice for shipping, I just bought something on eBay for 14 and they charged 17 for shipping

Whats the size and weight on that? If i had to give an honest estimate of shipment by the photo i would say $30-$40 is what it would cost me. I ship a lot of stuff i sell on ebay, the larger items have really been sticking me on shipping cost lately. I lost $10 to another item the other day that when i dropped it off with UPS they needed to adjust the cost because i forgot to round up to the nearest inch on the measurements. And now FedEx keeps sticking me for various fees. The only thing that has been decent is the USPS, but they had a rate hike to.

I would have gladly taken that offer if i was the seller, you pay shipping either way.

I usually use flat rate shipping with the USPS. I have still had people on ebay say i am trying to make money on shipping. How am i when i charge exactly what the post office charges me... LOL

You would be surprised how expensive shipping is these days. Once you get into the sizing type shipping, costs multiply really, really fast. I sold something a few weeks ago to another member on this board and estimated shipping to be $70. A few bucks more or less and I didnt care either way.

But actual UPS cost once packed, weighed and labeled?

$155.

Can you say ouch? It was a large box, but not that heavy, maybe 35 pounds. Around the size of what a full size pedal bike gets shipped in.

And keep in mind, if it is an eBay auction, ebay collects a fee on shipping as well.

Shipping prices have risen really, really quickly in the last few years it seems, and dimensional weight costs are absurd.

Its gone up a huge amount. The UPS fuel surcharge is going to take another jump from what i have been told. The other problem i am dealing with is ebay changed the rules a bit and charges final value fees on the shipping cost now to, that used to be exempt, now they take some of my shipping in fees so i have to increase my charge to overcome that and not eat a loss on every box i ship... It sucks.

I shipped a swing arm via UPS and got charged extra because of where the house was. I guess it farther out from a residential area.
I try to use USPS from now on.

For smaller items that are not that heavy (like swingarms, pipes, etc) USPS is almost always cheapest. But once you get into the heavy and oversize stuff, ssuch as frames and motors, it is the wild west. Surcharges, extra expenses and all sorts of surprises can pop up. It used to be pretty simple up until a few years ago. The box that I referenced above "bulged" in shipping, and UPS hit me for double the cost because by their measurements, the size had increased about ~2". A load of sheet, me thinks. But the bottom line is, the cost of shipping has gone way, way up. What you think should cost $20 or something is no longer the case. Also, dont forget to factor in the cost of boxes and packing materials (tape, peanuts, etc). The cost of that crap is stupid high as well.

Sucks!

You guys are missing the facts of what im saying He didnt have to pay anything for shipping. Just a little cardboard and shrink wrap. I know all about the shipping prices and whats fair and what isnt. I ship about 30-50 packages a week, That range from 6x6 to most of the boxes being 24x24x26. He didnt want me to send him labels and arrange a pick up. He wanted to stick me with the 50 bucks a piece shipping.

Still when I offer to send the guy two labels and arrange a pick up for them. There is no reason for him to bend me over on shipping
