Keihin carb identification for my NOS 250SX motor..

I am using my NOS 250SX motor for my BR project..

I pulled the carb from the drawer I had it stored in and it's missing the choke plunger so I need another.

While rooting around the shop I found a couple but they are slightly different in style to eachother and I don't know if either of these is correct to this carb.

The only stamping number on this Keihin carb is at the base beside the fuel inlet line: 08ABAF and a funny symbol I have to assume is Japanese..

How might I use this to order the correct plunger kit?

The QA08A carb is that was used on the 86-87 ATC 250SX. The carb that was used on the 85 ATC 250SX was a QA02A. I got this info from the Honda Service Manual for the 85-87 ATC 250SX.

If you ordered a plunger for an 86 or 87 ATC 250SX you should be fine.

Thanks, I checked the ID number on the engine and found its an 87 as many had suspected..

I think I have the plunger now for it, I'll know once the motor is in.
