Well we are about two months away and time to set some things in stone. I am doing this post a little earlier than in years past as I have been getting contacted from a # of people that need to make sure they take off work for this.
The ride will be on May 18th and pull out around 9:00. if you show earlier that is fine I would suggest it even. time for people to get to know each other and put faces with names.
Your atv must have a current Wisconsin trail pass.
Must have brakes.
Must be able to be riddin safely and mechanicly sound and not breaking down, ( everything breaks down once in a while i understand, just do not want some beater atv that should not be riddin out of your yard holding up an entire group) I know you all understand.
MUST wear a helmet!!
New for this ride you need the liscence plate on the back of your machine as well as the trail pass stickers on each side. The plate has to be minimum 4 inchs by 7 1/2 inchs. It needs to be white with black letters and mounted on the back of the atv, yea I know good luck mounting them were they won't get destroyed or block the taillight. these plates are your responsability to have and make, the dnr does not supply them.
As of right now a cook out is not planned. There is a great little restrant/bar across the field from me. We can eat lunch there. This may change, if people want a cookout and bring some food and charcoal it can happen, I have a few grills to use. If we do eat and do lunch at my house depending on the # of people I can get a porta potty also.
I have a large driveway and yard so parking with a truck and trailer is easy, I am also only 3/4 a mile off of state hwy 32 north of Suring WI. If you need directions just pm or email me. Very easy to find, about 45 min. from Green bay, 1 hour from Appleton, just over an hour from Iron Mountain MI, 45 min. from Marinette WI and a little less than an hour from Antgo. 2 hours from Wausau.
This ride leaves right from my place and is all state and county trails. Yes, I live on a road that is marked atv trail.
If you are a for sure just say so in this post and we will see you on the 18th.
It is a great time with fellow riders and a great start to the riding season. Hope to see you then..

Base gasket started leaking, waiting on $$ for top end parts :( besides, my kid would never keep up on the 110 .
Got a friend who just bought a 200m, he's gonna try to make it also.

Heads up for WI riders, don't spill gas on your registration stickers, the numbers melt right off. don't ask me how I know. Anyone have an opinion on just writing them on with a sharpie? I am guessing that as long as I have the paperwork, it'll be ok, right?

i wouldn't redo them with a sharpie, it might look like you tried to alter the number. as pipeline said, replacements are pretty cheap.

Yeah, I decided to order new ones.
On the registration note though, here are some cool plates made by a guy near where I live. I can't vouch for the product yet, I haven't received mine, but I'll post when I do. Might be good for anyone going on the ride that doesn't have one yet to satisfy the DNR.

Did you guys see some of the state's trail systems are postponing the trail opening dates? Lincoln County where I usually ride will not open untill at least the 15th of May. I assume Oconto County will open on time.

Dusty trails opened trails on the 1st I would guess all of Oconto county is open. There are machines out there. We went out the other day. Some wet parts but not the worst. Trails seem dry, except the low spots or where the frost is not out yet. Here's some pics.

I was going to try and make it until I discovered the dreaded broken shift drum stopper on my 125m last night.
Chippewa County trails still have knee deep snow and opening date is postponed. I imagine with yesterday's snow it'll add another week of waiting.

How many miles of sand covered pipe line is there to ride on. I believe we just rode on 1 south most section and then at the one part is gated off to the north mabey a mile long, does it continue. What the heck is the speed limit on the pipe line it has 25 mph automobile speed limits signs. I cant remember are all rodes gravel or pavment have limited speedl imits too. Its really confusing. I just cant rember it says on the oconto co map.
next year i'll try to join in on the festivities. buying a house and moving put a damper on finishing my 83 250r :(
ever ride up north any? you are about 5 hours away from me.

Well guys less than a week out. Had a # of people back out and no contacts from people who have come in the past. Good news is there are a few guys that are not on the boards that are coming. A couple first gen 200x's and a 350'x. Temps look great high 70's from Thursday on with a chance of showers on Sat. We will have a breakfast type deal set up for when people get to my place. Can not wait to see you guys this Sat.

Great ride this weekend. After looking at my 250r, it looks like my mechanical seal probably failed resulting in the head gasket failing too. Not too hard too fix. I guess I've got untill next May to get it fixed. The 700 filled in well for me though. Thanks to Arhen and Chris for putting this together.

Mathew and i had a great time also, thanks for putting this on every year! Looking forward to next year already, hopefully more people will show. I looked at the video i shot before my camera mount broke, but we were so far behind you guys most of it is just the back of Mathew on the 110  so i prolly won't bother putting it up.

With the amount of snow we have and deep frost they may not open the trails on May 1st again or even the 15th like last year. We are thinking of just doing a ride some time in June maybe.
