Is it possible to make a trike of the right size engine STREET LEGAL? and if it is what would it take ???

You would have to check your state laws, some require that the rear end contain a differential, which would probably be pretty complicated to do. Here in pa, you can do it without a differential and engine size is not limited, here is a honda 650 bike converted into a trike.

If you want the legal law regarding trikes and making them street legal...ask Legaleagle from 3ww and bluetraxx.com.
Here is a pic of his ride. He gave me all kinds of information about making a trike street legal here in VA. He lives in CA....

Actually its a XR650 engine stuffed inside an ATC350X frame. The freme had to be modified of course...

Actually the the engine is an xl650l, but I think you are right about the frame.

Heres the deal . In my area (SanFran) the laws have changed . I think quads are the only ones that can be made legal on the street . There is a loop hole in the law . It has to be a 4 wheel drive and have turnsignals dot tires and a windshield . Then its classified a a four wheel drive and not a quad . No you dont even have to wear a helmet . Laws in different counties may vary . But from what I know Napa (famous for wine) still converts them . Ace
