They are factory in the UK.

I've seen several BRs in the UK and not seen heel guards on any of them.
So what's the difference between a BR and a 'Super Red'?

Lol,,I should clarify.. The last THREE UK 88 Big Reds I have seen ,have the SAME foot guards. I do not KNOW for sure,they were factory :). I believe they were. The Super Reds are the same bike,but sold in Australia. I just have a soft spot for them.

i have an 88 bigred and yes the heel guards are factory fitted, they were also factory fitted to the 87 es

No trace of them, or even where they would have fitted on my '86. Oh well...

So is the Super red just a change of decal or seat cover colour?

Most trikes in the UK are in that condition, infact thats better than a lot ive seen!!

While 100% ACCURATE info is fairly sketchy on the Canadian 87 's and 88's from other countries.. Super Red appears to be a no heel guard,decal changed machine otherwise the same as these 88 Reds in the UK :) I have a Farmrunner bought to come in sometime in the future. Only one I've been able to track down.. Anyone have family In Australia that would stuff a 3 wheeler in their carry on ???!!! lol...
