so i got this (i think an 85)70 i had to rebuild the stator and replaced the ignition but i cant seem to get any spark going i have never dealt with points before so im pretty sure im setting it wrong but my main question was on the wiring, the wiring diagrams are kinda confusing but what i understood was from the on of on/off switch the green wire goes to one of the mount screws on the ignition and the black goes to the wire from the ignition and then connects to the black from the stator and that's it? the green and yellow aren't used
i got the stator parts from atc70.com if that matters and the ignition was from ebay
someone please help before i light it on fire and pull out all my hair

The black wire coming from the stator connects to the coil plug , the black wire coming from the on/off switch connects to the same black coil connection , the green wire from the switch goes to ground .
Set the points @ 14-16 thousandths when the motor is at top dead center = piston all the way up to top of the cylinder .

No you dont need that wire , that was for the trail bikes that had a neutral light .
