I think the 200x is pretty great also. But really anything is good as long as you know where to balance it at.

gotta throw this in just because i don't see any KAWI'S listed here. they have three wheels too you know. when i was 18 i worked at norm reeves honda/kawi and used to wheelie the atc 110 in the parking lot all the time. we used to race z50's on the slick concrete across the street. then i was hired by kawi and was head of atv r and d and during testing i would wheelie the prototype klt 110 HONDA KILLER all day long, lol.

Hello

yeah mpargiello, i totally expected some flack for my comment, lol. kinda made on purpose just for fun. it's actually true though believe it or not. i am one of the only guys to have the opportunity to ride both bikes simply because there are a million atc 110 but the klt's sold very few and are extremely rare. anyone that did a blind back to back test would agree but they might hit a wall first, lol. Anyway for some reason kawi was determined to pump as much hp in this thing as was possible and i HAD to spent over 150 hours testing a silly little 110 cc 3 wheeler in 80-100 degree heat, lol i can tell you the development story if you want, it's kinda funny.

come on we kawi guys gotta win once in a while jimmie white national and series champion more than once, oooouch, honda guys hate that, lol.

But if I get my butt in just the right spot, even I can ride it on 2 wheels all day long.

LOL..Seriously, I agree about the ATC70. A stocker with pratice you can literally stop them nose up and take off again and I have gone over 500ft on one at about 3mph.

I had a 225dx that was a wheelie monster too.

I agree with the 70s, I leave my rear tires a little bit low, then I can lean to one side or the other and go around corners.

Mosh, that pic should be destroyed. Lol. Now that right there is 2 good buddies. Lol

OH... it would have to be the ATC 90 without a doubt. Power it up in 3rd gear, ride a mile and a half and do a U-turn without dropping the front. :wondering ;)

Suzuki ALT 50 is my favorite. If you fall off you dont have far to go.

350x have to be it. When I got my first one I had to learn how to keep the front tire down when riding. 1/4 mile drive way and another 600ft of grass before dropping the tire to turn around. I couldn't wear out a front tire if I tried ( it's rarely on the ground ).

I can pull my 225dx in 4th gear going up hill, but I ride a long wheelie in 3rd no prob

i would say 350x also smooth power without the power band.

I have rode wheelies on most machines we have owned ( we been buying and selling 24+ years ). yes, any machine can wheelie, but the 350x's have the power to lift the front wheel in all gears on flat terrian. The other machines normally need some help in higher gears.
Some riders can't ride a wheelie at all. So yes, the rider can make a big difference.

its more about how good the rider can do a wheelie than the bike

I like the 250 sx cause enough power to get the front up, rear brakes on the handle bars and auto clutch

What do you guys think the best 4 stroke wheelie trike is? i think yamaha holds this position hands down, what do you guys think?

I had a Yamaha YTM200 that I could wheelie the entire length of my road, which is over 3 miles ;)

I can't wheelie my fat cat to save my life, even with a wheelie bump to start

definitely not any older Honda's. Most Honda's don't even have suspension

Although I haven't ridden a few of the models mentioned so far, it's gotta be the 225DX for me! It takes conscious effort to keep the front wheel down!

Maybe it depends on balance of the trike or how easy it is to get up, but my YTM200 with an '82 ATC250R front end is incredibly difficult to keep down.

The YTM200 front wheel alone is much, much heavier than the Honda one. The fork lower being aluminum instead of steel is another huge difference. Then there's the disk brake instead of drum. The unsprung suspension travel of the 250R forks is another big difference.

It's really easy with just throttle to pull the front wheel up in third gear. In first, it's just about unrideable during heavy acceleration.

Riding it fork kicks is fun but it's a handful on trails because of the low front wheel traction.
