87 125m value?

Hey everyone. Im looking at getting an 87 125M and was wanting to know what one would expect to pay for one in decent shape that runs and needs a seat cover and maybe rear fenders? Has a rear rack on it and to me that a plus. Was wondering what y'all think? :wondering

recently saw one in Chicago area in nice shape for $700 and have seen go on ebay for more. fairly rare bike only made 86-87 and I don't think many were made/ sold because of the bad stigma at that time and 4wheelers in that size were available. parts are harder to find though. I didn't see plastics for those listed on meier website so will have to wait for set on ebay. I don't think you would get hurt buying it for around $300. could part it and make money back because restoring it will take a lot of time and money. good luck.

Yeah i tried getting him to come down a bit from his $750 request for it but got him down to 600. Im still gonna have to look at and ride it but if it doesn't need much then ill pick it up for the collection lol. These things don't seen to be getting any cheaper that's for sure!

I don't know man that's a lot you might wait. the one I saw for $700 was real nice and that ones not even close.

I know its not good to jump on the first one you see but the guy kinda knows what he has. And i agree the price is steep for the condition but I've only read about things like this and this one is like an hour away from me. I might come across another one for less or in better shape but i cant drive 12 hours to pick up a 300 dollar trike. My wife would kill me! Lol but i know what you mean trike savior.

That seems a lot to me? They go around here for 300-500 max? But it does seem to be in that bad of condition, if I had the money I would buy it

Im going to go look at it tomorrow and see how it looks. Hopefully it's mostly cosmetic stuff and i don't have to replace much if i do get it

Yeah keep us updated, it doesn't look like it needs much work at all ( but like you said depending on what wrong with the motor) just needs a lil love, is that a newer itp mud light on the front?

The guy says the motor runs strong. So that good. Im not sure about the front tire but i will keep updating as i know more

Nice thing with these is you can change the head and cam and wake the motor up. A 185-200 & 200x head and a performance cam ( slightly modified ) will cause noticable power increase.

But rear fenders are hard to come by. I have seen the rear fenders fetch $600 before on ebay ( very nice used ones ).

Thanks howdy for the performance mod ideas. Thats what i was thinking if i ended up wanting to part it out that i i could at least make my money back. Well hopefully things work out and i get to look at it today

165630 So i picked up the 1987 125M sunday. Not to bad of a trike but needs a little bit bit of TLC. Hopefully as soon as i can see the classifieds and i can pick up better looking plastic lol. :w00t:

Seems like a decent trike for the price. Really, all it needs is some new rear plastic and seat covered and it would be as good as new. Besides, it's pretty tough to find a 1987 ATC of any kind, so you can't go wrong. Like Colton says, you have a nice collection going there trikecrazy. Roll 'em all out into the daylight and post some pics!

The tank is original. Only has a slight dent on the right side you cant hardly tell is there. Have just enough room for the next one..... Lol. Im picking up a 1985 250es big red for 100 bucks that was involved in a flood. The engine turns over so im buying it for a buddy of mine to fix his165656 here's a pic of the big red
