Hi All, just joined the site, mighty fine it is too!, i had a 85 tri z when i was younger, been looking around for the right bike for quite a while, had to be as stock as possible, did a deal on one this morning 85.5 red six speed, very very happy:),totally standard apart from the grips ,been dry stored for 6 years, just been freshened
up i will try to post some pictures up,my idea is to change the pipe and some very light mods just to get her breathing a bit better your thoughts would be appreciated cheers brewy[165337165335165336/ATTACH]165335165336

Hello mate, nice trike you got there.
Have you read through wrench report threads, doing that will sort it out a bit, 38mm flat slide carb worth adding too. Try to get logged on to clubatc.co.uk
there are some sound lads on there and very helpfull to. Can be a pain in the 4rse to get through spam filters apparently, but if you register and give me your details I will forward to one of the admin and they will sort it for you. Thats how I got on there by speaking to some one here who sorted it for me. Good source of local knowledge and parts.
Good luck.

Welcome to the site! I guarantee the knowledge from fellow riders and the advice you'll receive here will be much appreciated. I joined up about a week ago and now I am a junkie! Beautiful looking Yamaha by the way. A buddy of mine has one just going to waste in his garage, once I am done with my ATC200 I may go buy his and start over,:beer cheers

welcome to the site. very nice tri-z. been seeing a lot of you guys from over the pond on here recently. good to know us americans are not the only ones who like these classic bikes. is the trike scene as big over there or is it quads (4 wheeler) and utv's (side by side) everywhere. there are definitely enough knowledgeable people on here to help with anything you need.

Hi there trike saviour thanks for the welcome, your defiantly not the only ones who like the trikes:), the good ones that come up for sale in england always seem to sell,as far as the scene over here ,i am only just starting too get fully into it, so cant comment on how big it is yet,but quads are very very popular,UTV,s tend to be used for commercial purposes opposed to fun, apart from rage buggys and the like, but judgeing by the price the trikes have started to sell for in the UK there is a demand.

Thats the nice thing about the three wheelers. You get the same kind of enjoyment, for sometimes dirt cheap. Here in Texas ATV's are everywhere, but not too many ATC's thats one reason I went this route. Plus, growing up my parents always said they would kill you. So I kinda feel like I am rebelling. However the other half is now complaining. LOL

Thanks everone, picked up the bike today very original, only problem there is 3 holes drilled in the rear fender each side, looks like some mudflaps have been fitted at some point:( the front fender has holes drilled in it also, i am not sure what for, overall though very good, all the running gear good i dont think its had a lot of use, still on its original rear tyres but they are finished, fronts not to bad, discs all good, going to give her a good check over tomorrow and a light run and see how it goes
