How do I know if my motor is stock or has a big bore kit Without ripping apart the motor? Probably has tons of compression tons of torque and is a bear to kick way more power through the gears compared to my friends 350x . I think he's just tired and my motor is fresher. But I haven't had the bike that long and would like to know

I don't know any way to check the bore size without pulling the head off. Maybe there's someone here clever enough to figure out a way, tho ;)

is there any evidence of the motor being apart or have been taken out of the frame ?

They are pigs to kick in stock form. If that decompression release isnt adjusted just right it may as well not even be there. Your bike could have a cam, could have a high compression piston, you'll never know without taking it apart, or finding the guy who did it.

I gotta agree with ATC-Eric about that decompression adjustment! If it's right, it works like a charm. If it's not, it'll about break your foot off ;)

You have to slowly kick it to Top Dead Center where it is hard to kick. At that point, allow the kicker to return to rest and the decompression will work. One good hefty get will do the job.

It's tricky but you'll get it.

10.5 is chicken. 12:1 would require race gas.
