I was trying to push start my 225dx but it wouldn't start like that, I've done it with Manuel bikes and it worked but I keep hearing how people push start like 200's and some others.

I dont believe you can. Once you shift, the bike acts like it is in neutral, and will roll freely, no matter if you have it in any gear, shift before or after you begin pushing. I believe this is because of the centrifigual clutch. Is something wrong with your pull starter?

Any semi-auto trike can be pull-started. I pull started my Yamaha 225Dx, my YTM-200E, my 82 big red and my ATC70 with no problem. Put it in 5 or 4 th gear and push! Now the reason you are unable to pull start your 225DX is because the one way clutch in the centrifucal clutch is toasted.
Remember pull starting is the same thing as engine compression when you downshift to slow down.

I never tried to put it in a higher gear that's probably why I couldn't get it started, I'm gonna get a battery this week so I have a starter for it, when I get it running which will be soon, I'll take it down our big hill. Thanks for your help

Sure if you try in first gear, the engine just don't turn and the tire will just scrape in the dirt. By putting it in high gear the engine will be easier to start.
To clarify, If you can push it and the engine don't turn, then the one-way bearing is toasted.

Never try to pop start any vehicle in first or low gear Colton. Always put the vehicle in second gear or higher. First and reverse hold so well that they are also used as a parking brake. Think of it as trying to go up a hill on an 18 speed bicycle in high gear. You need to get the mechanical advantage.

It is like starting a manual Colton. The procedure is different, but it's essentially the same exact thing.
