I've got a 97 Polaris XLT 600 I'm parting out, and I had a guy who wanted the carbs, throttle cables, choke cables, manifolds and airbox to mod his 580 XLT. 2 weeks ago he had to back out cuz he was short of money. I told him I would hold them for him until he got his next paycheck on 3/15, which I usually won't do, I prefer first come/first serve, but he sounded sincere that he really wanted them. He called last Wednesday to confirm a meeting on Saturday, called Friday to re-verify, and we met Saturday so he could buy the carbs and accessories. Deal done, money in my pocket.
The only bummer to the whole sale: I go to get back in my truck and it's locked, keys in the ignition. FACK!! :wondering All I can figure is that when we chatted as I was getting out of my truck I leaned on the armrest for a couple seconds and I hit the door lock.
The kicker? As I was gathering up the parts in my garage before I left, I looked at the new pack of magnetic key boxes I picked up to put spare keys on our vehicles. I thought "Hey! Now would be a good time to do it." "Nah, I'll do it when I get back". DOH!!!
Wifey was only 10 minutes away, and brought me a key.
