I'm going to post in this section in case new guys want to chime in and get a few posts.
Alright. Here's the deal.
When I got this 86 Z, the previous owner had added steel brake lines years ago. He drilled and tapped out the master and caliper for a larger fitting and steel line. The bike sat so long that the clear glass on the master deteriorated and leaked.
So, I buy a new master and drill and tapped it out larger to accept the larger fitting.
The fitting had a rubber washer of some type on the master side so I replaced it with a new one and it leaks around the washer.
So I get a copper brake washer and try it and it leaks. I may try a thicker cooper washer if I can find one. But i have a feeling it may leak also.
Anyone ever faced this situation and resolved it successfully?
