I was surfing around and ran across this 250R. I'm no expert on these machines or what they go for; just thought I'd post it up :p

Front and Rear fenders are cracked and the tank is missing one of the shrouds. Depending on mechanical condition I would offer him between 7-900.
It actually looks to be a low hour bike, but badly abused. It needs all cosmetic parts and if its mechanically sound I'd pay 500 tops.

Good Lord. It needs at least it's 3rd set of plastics.. 3rd gen front and Banshee rears now. And they're trashed. I agree w Brian it looks to be relatively low hours. Poor thing.
They appear to be older Maier second gen plastics. The Banshee didn't have a recess for the kicker like these do. It looks like the whole rear section behind the seat has been ripped off giving it the Banshee look. The wheels have a nice gold to them and the seat looks very nice. A new set of skins and a nicely painted dent free tank would do this bike wonders, but only if you could get it for the right price.

Indeed they are 2nd gen Maiers I honestly gave it a 2 second glance from only one side lol.. Knew when I posted I was prolly gonna be wrong lol. Def a great bike for $3--- $500.
