I would say this guy is telling the truth. Looks like it was rode once and put up in the closet until this year. What a beauty. I believe this is the first time I have seen a true untouched Tecate with all of its OEM parts intact. I LOVE the gold paint. Nice find Bryan!

They don't get any better than this. People will spend double on a restored 250R so IMO this would be well bought at 5 grand. "They are only original once":beer

Other than the rear fenders having the white marks and some dirt in front of the sprocket on the engine and underside, (the dirt can easily be cleaned off), this is a very nice one, you wouldn't be able to build one this nice for the price, and even if you would it would not be original.

And vent and fuel lines,,again, no biggy. But for those of us that would actually purchase this machine. Those rear fenders are a HUGE deal. If you have a bike THAT nice,,,WHY not put the right lines on it!!?? My problem is the boasting :). I know of 2 brand new red 84's...Obviously,they are nicer. I just wish he didn't lay it on so thick,,as most do when they have a "nice " machine on Ebay. If the plastic was right I would consider very seriously making an offer. Which he would obviously not be open too. :)

So...you are saying the plastics are wrong??
So...you are saying the plastics are wrong??No, just stress fatigued. The white lines to the rear of the seat looks like something/someone was sitting on the fenders at one time and bent them down. As far as being correct, they are as right as the rain. It is a shame though such a big piece of this bike is a little messed up. Those rears are pretty hard to find.

Another beauty in Michigan. I see a pretty nice LT250R for at most half of that, and would buy that. Interesting auction, though I think it was ridden more than once based on the scuff marks on the bottom.

Hmmmmm, still for sale... Imagine a Honda or even a Tri Z in near that condition getting stale on a world wide stage...
