Welcome to the site Ron! My mom's side of the family all live in Fort Scott, so its a small world and glad to have you join the boards. Lots of aftermarket tecate parts have been listed lately. If you use the search function in the upper-right hand side of the screen, you may find what you are looking for.

Yaegerb what is your families names? I am a contractor in fort scott and know practically everyone, Thanks for the welcomes to the site, i am just trying to find my way around. I took the trike for its first ride tonight and it was amazing, it absolutely ripped after several heat cycles and a little jetting. I do all of my own porting and milling so i would be glad to give specs or help anyone out with their bid.

Thanks again

Looks like a great restoration start. Can you post some higher res pics for the drooling tecate addicts? That tank looks mint for a stocker. Good Job, welcome aboard.

My great grandfather was a dairy farmer and had a bunch of kids. They all have the last name of Bollinger. Does that ring a bell?

Yes there are many bolingers in the area, very small world, Ill try to get some better pics up soon of this one and my other one that is hopefully going to get a kx 500 transplant. The tank is a stock tank that i sanded down and it is sprayed with automotive paint the additives to help it flex and not crack, I have had great luck painting plastic with it. To get the color i went to Oreilys with a brand new shroud and had them scan it and they came up with a perfect paint match. It looks ridiculously good. I have the paint code if anyone would be interested in it or i wouldnt mind painting a few if there is some interest.

Thanks again

Welocme to the site! Nice tecate!! My favorite trike as well!
There are alot of guys that make T3 parts on the site.
Jon Swinehart for intake boots, chain sliders, overflow bottles, frame plugs, bar clamp covers and soon toolboxes. Hagen(greenboy on 3ww) makes high quality stainless fenderbraces, bottle guards, tank/ seat brackets, sprocket guards, double wide pegs and more. Sprock makes 300 cc bigbores and cool heads (I run his 300s on 3 of my T3s). There is another guy that I cant remember his name that makes wiring harnesses, another makes alum fender braces, headlight frames, sprocket guards, skidplates and more. Hornets has schrouds and headlight plastics.
I know there is more and im sure people will fill in the blanks for me lol
Good luck w the tecate!

thanks hondawasaki, the bad65nova isnt so bad at the moment lol, I havent raced it for a few years and have the drivetrain out of it at the moment preparing it for tubs. My fastest time a few years ago was 11.10 at 124mph pullin the left front wheel 12 inches. Like most of us i take on to many projects and things get put on the back burner. I asked the question in the new members board but ill ask you since you have a tecate. If im basically just drag racing and duning would i be better off to run mine with the powervalve open allt he time?

I personally don't see any advantage, unless you're porting is so radical it cuts into the power valves. If that's the case the valves would need to be welded shut and the transfer ports cut. If all you're doing is wedging them open, all you will gain is less grunt down low.

sblt500r makes the wiring harness's and the aluminum fender braces, headlight frames, sprocket guards, skidplates.

I also heard that broncobeast32 has a couple new and rare +4 adjustable Durablue axles for sale. PM him, he will help you out!
