step 1. slow down and use periods to separate sentences.
been here, no fun. snatch up a good penetrating lubricant (WD40, PB blaster) and soak it.
ive had decent success with this method:
with the swingarm off the bike, hold the swingarm like you're chopping wood, swing and come down on a soft chunk of wood so you dont damage the axle threads. dont get crazy with this method, obviously, but when used properly its very effective.

sorry about that. we got the axle out but the sleeve is so messed up we even got that loose from the axle shaft itself. but it chewed up the inside of the swingarm, made really bad grooves. can this be fixed or do we need to try to find another 82 . swingarm. if we have to get a new one hope someone on here has one they will part with

As long as the section that holds the bearings isn't warped or bent, you should be able to use your swingarm. That tube that is between the bearings can be duplicated easily at the local metal supplier. Just go in with measurements
If the carrier section is wallowed out, you can try smacking it back into round, but 82R swingarms are cheap enough to just go grab a good used one. I've got one if you need.
Post up some pictures so we know what you've got goin on. That'll help a bunch

so we found a good swing arm for only 20 bucks thought that was pretty good. next I did notice that the swing arm does not have a greese fitting in it like my 84 200x has, can we drill and tap and put one in just to keep greese in there. just thinkin it was an idea
thanks

Yea on my 84 200x that tube on mine was chewed up.. badly.. there was even a hole in it lol. Guessing a bearing blew apart or something. Yup you can put your own zerk fitting on there. I saw someone put 2 in a 250r swingarm, where it pivots actually.
