I have a 1984 Honda trx200 4wheeler,has the transmission with the high,low and reverse
Seized engine from moisture

Have a 1986 250es big red with missing axle
Runs perfectly

What I want to do is use the trx200 rear end on the 250es but being the 200 driveshaft is closer to the middle of the bike instead of a side offset like the 250
I'd have to use the 200 external tranny onto the 250 engine

Is this possible?
People tell me that the 200 and 250 have the same engine blocks

Will the high/low reverse output box fit the 250es engine?

Thankxz

Found out by a side by side look that there's nothing alike about these bikes

What other axle will fit the 250es?
I've heard a trx300 will work but requires custom mounts

I was hoping to do the use what ya got method

nothing about the 200 and 250 will mix match
both axles and outputs spin opposite directions

output shafts are different sizes.
Guess I can part out the trx200 for enough to buy a 250es axle

as far as fixing the 200 engine needs a top end rebuild and im not looking to go that route cause the 250 runs so well.

anyone want a trx200 for parts? I have 99% of the bike
