I like the look of lower-profile tires, so I had a 22x7x11 Dunlop KT151 on the stock 200x rim.

Both my 200X's had a Chen Shen knobby C832 in the stock size because it was cheapest when I needed tires. Could not find them so I bought a Kenda front max in the stock size for my 350X. My other 350X has an old Nankang knobby I think is no longer availabl. My 250R has the Kenda as well.

As you can see, I'm not really picky. All seem to work fine for me.

I really like the Kenda front max, it steers and brakes very well on the front in all conditions, even snow. The Chen Sheng is a softer compound tire, and for some reason, much taller than other tires of the same size, I would say at least 2 inches when inflated to the same psi. You should be able to find a Kenda front max for around 70 dollars, just put one on my 350x, and had one on my 200x for years. The Chen Sheng is about the same price.

I give the Kenda Front Max a vote too. I put one on my 250SX and the difference in how it steered was incredible...it blew me away.

trail wolf is ok but big lugs hop when trying to turn. have it on both of my Tri-z and ordered the Kenda for my 200X, i believe the kenda will be going on the Z's

ebay, bikebandit. go to dealer and order one, deniskirk.com

I have a new cheng shing c832 and it is def taller then another 23" front tire i have.

Ive had both on a 200x. front max looks funny buy seems to turn good. the cheng shin wears faster.

Here's a few links:

Be sure to check your shipping costs from the websites. Some places kill you on shipping tires using the "oversize shipping" charge. Dennis Kirk has the same price as Chaparral racing, but DK wanted to charge me 12.00 for shipping and I live an hour and a half away. 12.00 ain't bad to ship a tire, but if I can get it shipped to 8.00 off of ebay I'll take that option.

Rocky Mountain ATV usually has good prices, but didn't have the front max.

Chaparral racing.com on ebay 7.99 shipping.(if you want to add to your feedback ;) )

I run a duro power trail, 22x7x11, or 20x7x11...can't remember. I personally love the look and feel of it

while youre ordering a kenda front maxx, look into kenda scorpion 22x11x8's for the rear. you wont be disappointed. lower profile with more of a squared footprint than the bubble 22x11x8's

I have a set of the front max on my banshee and they handle great. I think that the only place they falter is in hard braking. Locks up REALLY easy because the knobbies are really thin so they can go three wide across the tire, at least in my experience. too bad the ohtsu PV101/PV701 was discontinued. I always loved the OEM tires. Ive never used anything else on my X, and I love them. the PV301 (OEM rears, still available) tires are SUPER soft and durable. they dig really well in sand and snow and grip like heck. My X refuses to spin them even on wet grass. Plus, when holeshots are over $100 apiece, the $50 PV301 is a durable and cheap alternative. If honda decided they were the best, why differ from them? like I said though, the OEM front one doesnt exist anymore, or at least only in NOS ($300+) form :(... Too bad they dont make a reeealy thin trailpro, or maybe you could use that. no more wheelies though . CHeng Shin knobbie or front max gets my vote for a cheap alternative. front max seems like it would go really well in the sand too because the knobbies are really long and thin, so it has a lot of surface area when turning

The only downfall of the front max is under hard braking. I have a 22x11.00-8 on front of my YTM-225DX. It steer very well on hard pack, snow and grass it wear like iron.
