I have noticed quite a few ebay / craiglist postings being made in this forum. Why is that????? We have a forum just for such postings / links. Trying to be nice here, so I will help you out. Here is a link to that forum:
3WW Ebay forum (http://www.3wheelerworld.com/forumdisplay.php/21-Ebay-Craigslist-Discussion-and-Linkage)
FYI, I ain't moving any more ebay / craiglist postings from this forum. I'm personally am simply going to delete them.
So if you want others to see it then post it in the proper forum. How hard is that?
Things run smoother when posted in the proper forums.

Thank friggin goodness for the message. Trikesylvania is for tech stuff.
All too lately it has become a catch all classifieds , the craigslist garbage , general open discussion and whatever else people feel like saying.
Almost warrants a longer probabtion period for newbs.

I am personally sick of seeing 100 junk posts in the eBay section as well. Seems a couple people will post ANYTHING they come across, just to post.
Maybe impose a monthly post limit for the eBay section to cut down on the junk that forum gets flooded with daily

Or the member that you are referring to that posts every trike he see on Kijiji that is local to him can be spoken to directly by a mod..I'm sure that will fix some of that..

We used to have an ignore option. Not sure if the forum still has it or not. As a Mod or Admin we couldn't really use it so I'm not sure.
What the option does is to automatically hides any postings / replies from users you put on the list. It worked great for at least one user that I know used it.
Might be something for you to look into doing if a user gets anyoying to you. ;)

I thought I might add this to this thread.
If you find a posting that don't belong in this forum click then report it. A few members already do this and it would help if a few more did. It's hard for any one of us to catch everything. ;)
Thanks
Howdy
Thank you. Its annoying as hell for me and can only imagine what its like on your end.:beer

Not sure I clearly understand.
I mean, I understand posting in the correct forum.
Another t.o.u. thing is to 'add' to existing posts, no matter how old.
I'll admit I'm guilty of 'thinking' about posting cl pix IF they look like some
mutant fabrication of interest to t.vania.
Speaking of CL, I see they have a 'flag' option.
Seems to be user moderated so if enough people find something offensive, it gets flagged and deleted.
I'll have to look into that 'ignore' feature (can't seem to find it) and what it does and / or the 'click then report it'.
Is the 'report' button a triangle to the right of the square 'blog this post'?
yeah, it's either my eyes or ancient monitor but hard for me to see.
Thanks for all your hard work, btw.

Yep, there are all kinds of little goodies users can utilize.
One of my favorites turns off all the extra "stuff" in peoples postings (same ole picture/same ole saying/same ole old.
Plus, it makes a huge difference on how fast the pages load onto your computer too !
Go to your general settings, scroll about halfway down and uncheck these 3 boxes to not see avatars/signature's and anything else folks have linked up in there posting that really has no relevance to much of anything (IMHO).
Thread Display Options
Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)
You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from pos
