83-84 250R rear engine mount/shock mount

Im putting together a 83/84 250R, droppped in the engine, went to mount the rear engine mount, and the one off the 83 was aluminum, the 84 is steel. it's the peice that bolts to the rear of the motor, swing arm bolt goes through it, and the shock bolts to it.

is the aluminum one stock for 83? or is it aftermarket?

X2 aluminum is stock 83 steel stock 84 .You cant mix and match the 83 84 250r swingarm and shock or shock mounts .If you have a 84 swingarm you will need the shock and linkage and upper shock mount and dogbone.Same if you have 83 swingarm you will need the 83 suspension.I switched my 83 over to 84 and I had to use everything from the 84 .
